Lechlade Town Council Committees

Five committees have been set up within the Town Council to address specific issues. Councillors are requested to meet regularly and report in writing to the Town Council meetings. The Chairman is also ex-officio on all committees in addition to those on by right.

In addition, several working groups have been set up within the Committees to address particular areas.

FINANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Responsible for Finance, draft Precept, Personnel and General Management

Responsible for communication tools including editing and preparation of TC newsletter, the Lechlade website, and assisting with events within the town.

Christmas Lights
Responsible for fund raising and management of the Christmas Lights event

PLANNING
Responsible for review and comment on planning applications, monitoring planning issues, policy, the Local Plan and impact on Lechlade

HIGHWAYS
Responsible for response and development of issues relating to traffic, speed limits, parking, GCC highways, the Market Place and Town Centre.

Cycleways
Responsible for development of new cycleways and the maintenance and development of new footpaths
